The Government says the Convention “must evolve” and is legislating to tighten how Article 8 is applied — its own impact assessment expects around 11,700 more claims refused. We say reinterpreting a treaty we cannot control is not the same as being in charge of our own law. The Child Maintenance Service works out payments from one parent's income alone, takes no account of what the other household brings in, and generally only recalculates when income moves by 25% or more. The Government is reviewing that calculation right now. Sign for a system that counts both parents, recognises genuine shared care, and shows its working.

The Islamic Centre of England has been under a Charity Commission statutory inquiry since 2022, yet it remains on the Home Office register of licensed visa sponsors, A-rated, for Skilled Worker, Minister of Religion and Religious Worker visas. We are calling on the Home Secretary to suspend the licence until the inquiry concludes. The British public deserve confidence that organisations entrusted with sponsoring visas meet the very highest standards.

The Government is consulting on a mandatory "prominence regime" that could force online platforms to push legacy broadcasters such as the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 to the top of your feeds and search results, at the expense of the independent creators and publishers you actually chose. Friedreich's Ataxia patients need access to the drug Omaveloxolone. Without treatment, this degenerative disease can get worse. Patients & families may have to see their loved ones deteriorate when they are aware there is a drug available to stop the progression of this disease & in many cases, to improve the symptoms.
